LITTLE GUMNUTS MORUYA
At Little Gumnuts Moruya, we are proud to offer a nurturing, family-oriented environment where every child is supported to learn, grow and thrive.

We provide high-quality early education and care for children aged six weeks to six years, offering both long day care and preschool programs for families in and around the Moruya region. Our centre is open five days a week, 52 weeks a year, from 7:30am to 6:00pm (excluding public holidays).

If you’re looking for a warm and welcoming place where your child can explore, socialise, and develop in a supportive 52-place environment, we invite you to come and visit. Meet our passionate educators and see how we can work together to support your child’s unique journey. At Little Gumnuts, we believe in building strong, lasting relationships with children, families and our local Moruya community.

We are licensed for 52 children per session of care:
Koalas 0-2 Years | 12 children
Platypus 2-3 Years | 15 children
Kangaroos 3-5 Years | 25 children
KOALAS
0-2 YEARS | 12 CHILDREN
In the Koala Room, our educators provide a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe, secure, and supported to build trusting relationships with both educators and peers. Our daily routines and experiences are thoughtfully designed to reflect each child’s individual needs and interests within a caring and engaging setting.

We embrace a holistic approach to learning, where educators and families work together to plan, reflect, and celebrate each child’s unique journey. We recognise that development is an ongoing process that ebbs and flows naturally, and our intentional teaching practices are carefully documented, scaffolded, and nurtured to support every child in reaching their fullest potential.

PLATYPUS
2-3 YEARS | 15 CHILDREN
In the Platypus Room, our educators work in close partnership with families to support each child’s growing social and emotional development, self-help abilities, and emerging independence. Our program is thoughtfully designed to reflect the children’s individual needs and interests, building on foundational skills through play-based and engaging experiences.

Each day in the Platypus Room is dynamic, nurturing, and full of opportunities for discovery. We strive to create an environment where every child feels a strong sense of belonging, confidence, and joy in their learning journey.
KANGAROOS
3-5 YEARS | 25 CHILDREN
In the Kangaroo Room, our educators nurture each child’s growing curiosity, independence, and confidence as they explore their expanding world. We support children in developing their emerging interests and abilities through play-based learning experiences that inspire them to become confident and involved learners.

As children’s interests broaden, our environment becomes a valuable resource, one that encourages respect, care, and appreciation for both the natural and built world. We provide meaningful opportunities for children to connect with and learn from the land around them.

Our program also supports children as they prepare for their transition to school, with engaging activities within the service to ensure a smooth and positive start to their next learning adventure.
